Josh Richardson, CFP®, CKA®
Financial Planner
Josh is a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Kingdom Advisor®. He is passionate about getting to know clients so he can walk them through all available strategic solutions and help create intergenerational wealth plans.
Josh started working as a financial planner at Foresters Financial in 2016. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies and his master’s in finance from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he was an All-American and national runner-up marathon runner. Josh was inducted into the Wall of Fame at MVNU in 2023 and still holds multiple track records.
Josh went to college with Joe and is considered one of the founders at Peak, joining in its earliest stages. After a long meeting over breakfast, Josh was sold on the vision Joe cast for Peak, including the ability to craft customized plans for clients, the financial planning philosophies, and the central mission to glorify God. He was so sold on the vision, that he convinced both his brother and sister-in-law to join the team!
Inspired to enter the financial services industry by the biblical directive in Luke 16 that we are to use temporal wealth for eternal impact, Josh builds custom plans that help clients meet their needs, leave a legacy and positively impact the world around them. “Wealth makes for a poor and destructive god, but when viewed properly, it can be a powerful tool for good,” says Josh, whose theology of finance results from years of studying scripture and applying it to all aspects of his life.
Josh and his wife, Lillian, live in Newark, Ohio, and are the proud parents of two young daughters, Priscilla and Ruth. They also have a dog named Eliza and two cockatiels named Ollie and Lola. When he isn’t helping clients, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and church, where he also occasionally preaches, watching Ohio State football, reading, playing the guitar and ukulele, competing in fantasy football, and, of course, running.
