Planning Associate

Joel enjoys talking with people, helping them through different problems and planning for their future. His interest in the financial planning industry was inspired by his father, an insurance agent specializing in Medicare supplement plans and long-term care. As a planning associate at Peak Retirement Planning, Joel understands that it takes a level of humility and vulnerability to ask for help with one’s life savings and goals.

Before joining Peak Retirement, Joel worked as a financial representative for Northwestern Mutual. Joel has a degree in business hospitality from Cornell University’s Nolan School of Hotel Administration. He also played football during his university years.

Joel was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and now lives in Columbus, Ohio. Outside the office, he is an active member of his church community, investing his time in service and worship. He also enjoys working out and playing golf, and he never misses an opportunity to explore Columbus’ food scene.
