Josh Richardson
Financial Planner
Inspired to enter the financial services industry by the biblical directive in Luke 16 that we are to use wealth to gain friends, Josh builds custom plans that help clients meet their needs, leave a legacy and positively impact the world around them.
“Wealth makes for a poor and destructive god, but when viewed properly, it can be a powerful tool for good,” says Josh, whose theology of finance results from years of studying scripture and applying it to all aspects of his life.
Josh is a fully licensed financial professional. He is passionate about getting to know his clients so he can walk them through all available strategic solutions and help create intergenerational wealth plans.
Josh started working as a financial planner at Foresters Financial in 2016. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies and his master’s in finance from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, where he was an All-American and national runner-up marathon runner. Josh also ran cross-country and still holds multiple track and cross-country records.
Josh and his wife, Lillian, live in Newark, Ohio, and are the proud parents of two young daughters, Priscilla and Ruth. They also have a dog named Eliza. When he isn’t helping clients, Josh enjoys spending time with his family and church, watching Ohio State football, reading, playing the guitar and ukulele, competing in fantasy football, and, of course, running.
